Swiss Asset Manager Names Chief Investment Officer

Geneva-based Semper, the asset management firm, has appointed Jean‐Evrard Dominicé as chief investment officer - a role in which he will develop the firm’s investment products and services, with the additional task of opening a London office. Previously, Dominicé worked for Warburg Dillon Read in Zurich, and subsequently for Credit Suisse in London, where he was appointed associate director of the shares division, the firm said. In 2004, he established Dominicé & Co Asset Management with Michel Dominicé, in turn co‐developing the Swiss Discovery Fund and the volatility-focused Cassiopeia Fund. Dominicé will remain a dormant partner of Dominicé & Co, the firm said. He will also continue to sit on the board of Anaconda, which is a Geneva‐based hedge fund. The firm also said it recently launched an office in Shanghai and recruited a Chinese manager. Semper was founded in 2001 and is run by its managing partners, Eric Freymond and Grégoire Vaucher.
